Childhood and summer

There is something magic about childhood and summer

the bare legs, kittens, green grass, and red painted houses..

its summer, you can almost smell it..

I found these old photos of my mother and her siblings

while preparing for the big party..

but before that we are taking a trip to Holland again.

Soon my mother turns 50,

its a day to celebrate.

A happy discovery !

We recently bought a new scanner/printer 

and today i just found that you can use it for scanning film-negatives!

and i have hundreds of negatives! 

mostly from the time i studied photography 

its a long time ago now 

so i started scan negatives

what a sweet memory lane to walk on!

this made my day!

the first photo is of my mother Lisbeth (to the left) and her sister Ingela. the second one is of my grandmother Brittmarie on a restaurant in the sexties and tha last image is of my aut Ingela on the knee of her great-grandmother,one of the picture hanging on the wall behind them now hangs on the wall in our bedroom, its funny how things travel...

Erik Kessels

He is a dutch artist that among other things collects found images and put´s them toghether in new ways, in that way he is giving them new purpuse. Its intressting how images can be seen in a new way if uou just take it out of its context. Today we are feed everyday with images everywhere, without really stop and look what the really show, I a documentary about Kessels and it was really intresting, it made me think about and reflect over how i see images my self.

finding old pictures with members of the family

looking through my grandparents dusty albums and these 4 pictures caught my eye

finding things and giving them a new life

One of my favourite things to do is go to fleamarkets whenever its possible.But with a house allready filled with old "junk" and no more room for new stuff, Ivé started to look for smaller things, things on paper, its a new hobbie to look through the piles of old photos and prints, stashed away, forgotten.. This summer i stumbeld across these pieces wich i took with me home, no clue what i would do with them at firts, but then i gave them new lives..A found photo is always a mistery ,you cant help but wonder about the people on them..make up a story or just give them a new name ..
